Yearly fees for Youth Members consist of both Scouts Queenland fees and Dayboro Scout Group fees.

New Members

All new members pay an enrollment fee of $68 to Scouts Queensland during the first quarter.

All Youth Members enrolling in January, February and March 2019 will pay the below fee and will then be invoiced the renewal fee in April 2019 in line with renewal fees as published in the section above.

Youth members enrolling from 1 April 2019 will be required to pay fees in accordance with the scale below.  This fee consists of an enrolment fee and a membership fee components. The fee payable is calculated from the date which is indicated on the A5 form in the field titled “Date commenced with Group”.

A Youth Member who withdraws from the Movement within six (6) weeks of enrolling is eligible for a refund. The application for a refund must be made in writing to the Branch Support Office within one (1) month of the Youth Member leaving.

Adult and Youth Member Renewal Fees for 2019

Membership renewal fees and new Member fees include:

  • All World Organisation of the Scout Movement membership fees; and

  • Scouts Australia affiliation fees; and

  • Scouts Australia eLearning and New Youth Program levy; and

  • Additional funding from 2019 for the availability of Group Management Software; and

  • For Rover Scouts ONLY, the Queensland Branch Rover Council $13.50 levy.

Rover Scouts turning 26 during the year

Rover Scouts who will reach their 26th birthday within the Scouting year will pay a pro-rata Membership Fee as per table below.

* The family concession is only available on the renewal of annual membership fee for the second, third and subsequent registered financial youth members. In calculating eligibility for the family concession adult members, Rover Scouts and youth helpers who are not youth members in a section are not included

Dayboro Scout Group Annual Fees

$55 per term per family is payable to the Dayboro Scout Group. This fee helps with insurance, maintenance, utility fees and to support sections and special events

$2 per week paid to the section to help with equipment needed to run programs, badges etc.

Some activities (Skillorama, district camps, cubaree/jamboree etc) may attract an additional charge due to the extra costs incurred in running the activity

Uniform

A uniform consisting of a shirt, scarf, woggle, navy blue pants and closed in shoes is required to be worn.  The shirt, scarf and woggle van be obtained from The Scout Shop which is only available online.  Recent changes have meant that Scouts Queensland have closed their uniform shop at Auchenflower

Another option that has recenty been made available is to a purchase second hand uniform from the Dayboro Scout Group classifieds.  Second hand uniforms are not always available
